Description
The BCM Kinesthetic Angled Grip for Picatinny rail is the product of a collaboration between Bravo Company Mfg and Travis Haley of Haley Strategic Partners. The design addresses a specific problem with conventional vertical grips: they add bulk without meaningfully improving wrist alignment or weapon control. The KAG takes a different approach by using a forward-raked profile that works with the mechanics of a C-clamp grip — thumb over bore, fingers wrapping the handguard — rather than pulling the support hand into an awkward perpendicular angle.
The rake angle is deliberate. It reduces rotational stress on the wrist and translates through the elbow and shoulder, which matters during sustained firing or when transitioning between targets. The slim profile keeps the overall girth of the handguard manageable, so the grip improves control without making the forend harder to wrap a hand around. Texturing on both the front and rear faces gives the support hand a consistent reference point, which helps with repeatable hand placement shot to shot.
The mounting system is worth understanding on its own terms. Most accessories of this type rely on a single screw bearing against a T-nut to clamp onto the rail. BCM developed a patent-pending anchor system that distributes clamping force across a wider area of the accessory body, reducing the flex and shift that a single-point fastener can allow under load. Installation requires only a T15 Torx driver. The grip is made in the United States from impact-resistant polymer, keeping weight low while maintaining structural integrity under hard use.
