Description

The BCM MK2 Complete Lower Receiver with Mod 1 SOPMOD Stock is built for shooters who want a duty-grade AR-15 lower that pairs a storage-capable stock with a buffer system designed around short-barrel reliability and felt-recoil reduction. It ships fully assembled and mates cleanly with any mil-spec upper receiver, making it a straightforward path to a complete rifle or a direct upgrade to an existing build.

The forged 7075-T6 aluminum receiver is hardcoat anodized and machined to mil-spec dimensions, giving the lower consistent fit with mil-spec upper receivers and internal components. The enlarged polymer trigger guard accommodates gloved hands without modification. BCM’s Gunfighter Mod 3 pistol grip and PNT trigger group round out the lower parts kit.

The MK2 buffer system is the mechanical centerpiece of this assembly. Rather than choosing between a standard carbine or rifle buffer arrangement, the MK2 occupies an intermediate position — delivering the length of pull associated with a rifle stock while retaining the position adjustability of a carbine setup. The system uses an internal counterweight with its own spring to reduce the noise and inconsistency of weight shifting during cycling, and it runs a full-length M16A4-pattern rifle spring with a higher coil count than a standard M4 carbine spring. The combined effect is a more consistent carrier velocity across the operating cycle, which is particularly useful on short-barrel configurations where gas timing and bolt velocity are harder to manage.

The BCM Gunfighter Mod 1 SOPMOD stock contributes a more pronounced cheekweld geometry than a standard collapsible stock, two ambidextrous sling mounting options including QD swivel sockets, a modular VBOST sling tab for vehicle use, and a storage compartment accessible through the butt pad. The entire furniture package is finished in Flat Dark Earth.
