Description
The BCMgunfighter Quick Detach Sling Swivel in the Heavy Duty Design is built for shooters who treat a sling as a genuine piece of load-bearing kit rather than an afterthought. The swivel mounts and releases from any standard QD socket, but the flush-mounted plunger is the detail that separates this from lighter-duty designs. Because the button sits recessed rather than proud, brush, gear, or incidental contact during movement will not actuate it — the shooter has to deliberately seat a finger and depress it, which keeps the sling attached when it needs to be and detached only on purpose.
Construction is carbon steel with a manganese phosphate finish, the same surface treatment long used on military small arms. Manganese phosphate is a matte, porous coating that holds lubrication well and provides corrosion resistance without the reflectivity concerns of bare steel or blued surfaces. Every swivel is tumble-deburred and sand-blasted before plating, which removes edge burrs and mill scale that would otherwise create stress risers or wear points over time. The swivel is sized for 1-1/4″ slings, the most common width for AR-pattern rifle slings. Made in the USA by Bravo Company Mfg.
