Description

The Magpul SGA Forward Sling Mount gives Remington 870 shooters a dedicated, barrel-mounted sling attachment point that the factory gun simply doesn’t provide. It clamps onto the barrel and extended magazine tube, which means it stays put under recoil without relying on the stock or receiver for its anchor — useful when you want sling weight distributed toward the muzzle end rather than back near your body.

Where the mount earns its keep is in its flexibility of attachment style. It can be set up for push-button QD sling swivels or for one-point clip-in hardware like an HK hook, ITW MASH hook, or the Magpul MS3 Paraclip, so it works with the sling system you already own rather than forcing you into a specific configuration.

Construction is precision-cast steel finished in Melonite, the same ferritic nitrocarburizing treatment Magpul applies across several of its steel shotgun accessories. Melonite penetrates the surface rather than sitting on top of it, which gives the mount meaningful resistance to both wear and corrosion without adding appreciable thickness. For a component that lives on the barrel — exposed to weather, solvent, and contact — that matters more than it would on a sheltered interior part.
