Description

The RECCE-14 MCMR-LW is built for shooters who need a duty-grade carbine in a configuration light enough to carry all day without giving up the build quality that BCM’s professional and military customers depend on. The enhanced lightweight barrel profile removes mass from the most forward part of the rifle, which shifts the balance point rearward and meaningfully reduces the fatigue that accumulates during extended patrols or range sessions — a trade-off that costs nothing in chamber or bore integrity because BCM chrome-lines both.

The mid-length gas system runs a longer dwell cycle than a carbine-length setup on the same barrel, which spreads the pressure impulse over more time and produces a softer, more progressive push at the bolt carrier. The practical result is a rifle that tracks back onto target faster during follow-up shots. The 1:7 twist rate is optimized for heavier 5.56 NATO projectiles — it will stabilize bullets from 55 to 77 grains without issue, so ammunition selection stays broad rather than restricted to a narrow weight window.

The 10-inch MCMR free-float handguard uses M-LOK attachment, keeping the profile slim and the weight down while giving you a clean, uninterrupted rail surface wherever you need it. The BCM Mod 1 compensator is pinned and welded to the 14.5-inch barrel, and the BCM Gunfighter charging handle, Mod 3 pistol grip, and Mod 0 stock are all factory-fitted rather than afterthought additions. Fire controls are marked Safe and Semi. One 30-round magazine is included.
