Description
The Bergara BMR-X is built for rimfire competitors and serious precision shooters who want a rifle that behaves like a full-size precision platform rather than a casual plinker. Bergara designed it around the same ergonomic philosophy as their centerfire lineup, and the result is a rimfire that genuinely supports a match-style shooting position rather than forcing compromises.
The stock features an adjustable length-of-pull, a vertical grip, and a flat forend. The vertical grip geometry reduces the rotational torque your hand applies to the action, which keeps the rifle from shifting subtly during the trigger press. The flat forend maximizes consistent contact with a bag or rest, reducing cant between shots — a meaningful advantage when you are trying to diagnose group dispersion rather than fight a rocking support surface.
The barrel carries a No. 6 heavy profile in 4140 CrMo steel. The added mass slows heat buildup during strings of fire and contributes to a more stable hold during offhand or unsupported positions. The 1-in-9 twist rate is matched to .17 HMR’s projectile weight and velocity range, stabilizing the light, fast bullets that cartridge fires without over-spinning them. The match chamber is cut to tight tolerances, which keeps case headspace consistent and helps the rifle extract the accuracy the cartridge is capable of delivering.
A 30 MOA Picatinny rail is included, giving you the elevation offset needed to use most of your adjustment range when dialing for distance. The Bergara Performance Trigger is externally adjustable for pull weight without disassembly. Two magazines are included — one five-round and one ten-round — both compatible across the BMR platform. No iron sights are fitted, so budget for an optic from the start.
