That weight reduction comes from two places: the RTM carbon fiber sporter stock and Bergara’s CURE carbon fiber barrel. The 20-inch barrel in 6.5mm Creedmoor is a deliberate trade. You give up some muzzle velocity compared to a 24-inch tube, but you gain a rifle that handles better in tight spaces and sits inside most standard cases. The 6.5 Creedmoor’s inherent ballistic efficiency means the velocity loss is modest, and the cartridge still performs well at hunting distances from a shorter barrel. The floorplate is hinged for field use, but the receiver is also inlet for AICS-compatible detachable box magazines, so switching to a faster-loading bottom metal setup is straightforward without custom work. Adjustable length of pull, via included spacers, lets different shooters fit the rifle properly without fitting it to just one person.
