The B-14 Cima CF is Bergara’s answer to a specific problem: a bolt-action hunting rifle that is genuinely light enough to carry all day without giving up the accuracy expectations that come with the B-14 platform. At 5.80 pounds, it sits at the lightest end of the B-14 lineup, and that figure is achieved through meaningful material choices rather than simply shortening the rifle.

The barrel is built using Bergara’s CURE process, which wraps a steel core in carbon fiber. That construction matters because carbon fiber sheds heat more slowly than steel but adds far less mass — the result is a barrel that stays stiff under sustained fire while keeping weight down to a level that makes a real difference on a long ridge walk. The 1-in-8-inch twist rate is well matched to the 6.5 PRC’s typical projectile weights, which tend toward longer, heavier-for-caliber bullets in the 140–156 grain range that stabilize well at that rate. Shooters running lighter 127-grain loads will also find adequate stability, giving some flexibility in ammunition selection without compromise at the heavier end.

The stock is RTM carbon fiber in a classic sporter profile — a shape that balances naturally between the hands rather than forcing a more upright precision-rifle hold. Length of pull adjusts via included spacers, which is a practical feature on a hunting rifle that may be shot in heavy clothing one season and a light shirt the next. The bottom metal accepts a hinged floorplate as configured but can be converted to AICS-compatible detachable magazines, which widens the options for field reloading without requiring a permanent modification. The receiver wears a Sniper Gray Cerakote finish, and the bolt is spiral fluted — both choices that reduce maintenance burden in wet or dusty field conditions.
