The Bergara Premier Cima Pro is a mountain hunting rifle built for hunters who cover serious vertical and refuse to carry the weight penalty that used to come with a durable, accurate chassis. Every major structural component is carbon fiber, and that choice runs deeper than most carbon-wrapped rifles: both the stock and the barrel are produced through an autoclave curing process, which drives out excess resin and leaves behind a higher fiber-to-resin ratio than standard layup methods achieve. The result is a platform that resists flexing under load and doesn’t shift point of impact as temperature swings through the day.

The barrel itself is Bergara’s CURE design, which threads stainless steel strands through the carbon weave specifically to manage heat migration. Where a standard carbon-wrapped barrel can shift as heat builds in the steel liner, the CURE construction is engineered to move that heat more evenly, keeping the barrel’s behavior consistent across a firing string. The 1:8″ twist is well suited to the heavier 6.5mm projectiles — the 130- to 147-grain range — that have made 6.5 Creedmoor a serious long-range hunting option, so handloaders and factory-load shooters alike have a wide selection to work with at this twist rate.

The action is machined from 416 stainless steel and uses a Remington 700 footprint for scope bases, which keeps the optics mounting ecosystem wide open. A TriggerTech trigger provides a consistent, adjustable break — a meaningful advantage when a shot may come after a hard uphill push.
