Description
The B-14 Crest is built for backcountry hunters who want a precision-grade bolt-action without carrying a bench rifle into the mountains. Its 100% carbon fiber stock keeps the overall package light enough for long approaches, while LOP spacers let you dial the fit rather than accept a fixed length-of-pull. The stock’s black and gray sponge-pattern accents are part of Bergara’s Sniper Gray Cerakote treatment, which covers both the receiver and the fluted barrel and gives the rifle corrosion resistance suited to wet or variable weather.
The barrel is CrMo steel, fluted to shed heat faster and reduce mass without shortening the sight radius or cutting into velocity. The fluting carries through to the bolt as well, trimming additional weight and giving the bolt body a cleaner wiping surface as rounds are cycled. Threading at the muzzle allows direct attachment of a brake or suppressor; Bergara includes their Omni muzzle brake in the box, which bleeds propellant gas to manage the .300 PRC’s substantial recoil impulse before you mount anything else. The 1:9-inch twist rate is on the faster end for this bore diameter, which favors heavier, high-BC projectiles — the kind that make .300 PRC useful at distance — over lighter, faster options.
The Bergara Performance trigger is set up for a clean break rather than a heavy pull, which matters when you’re making a shot from an unsupported position at the end of a long day in the field. The AICS-compatible magazine means drop-in compatibility with a wide aftermarket of replacement and spare magazines. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, and no iron sights are included — this platform is built around glass from the start.
