Description
The B-14 Squared Crest is built for hunters who push into serious backcountry terrain and need a rifle that earns its place in the pack. The carbon fiber stock is constructed using a CF-RTM process — dry carbon fibers assembled by hand and then injected with resin — which produces a structure that resists flex under load rather than simply being light. A carbon spine runs through the stock to add rigidity without adding mass, so the rifle holds its zero even after the kind of rough handling that comes with multi-day mountain hunts.
The 6.5 PRC chambering is well suited to this platform. It runs at higher pressure than the 6.5 Creedmoor and pushes heavier, high-BC projectiles to velocities that extend the effective range without requiring a full magnum action length. The 1-in-8 inch twist rate stabilizes the long, heavy-for-caliber bullets the cartridge was designed around, so handloaders and factory ammunition users alike have a wide selection of high-BC options that will perform as intended. The 20-inch barrel recovers most of the velocity you would expect from a longer tube, while keeping the rifle maneuverable in tight terrain and reducing overall swing weight.
The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 and ships with a Bergara Omni Muzzle Brake, so felt recoil is managed without committing to a single terminal solution. The B-14 action uses a two-lug bolt with a sliding extractor and a tapered bolt and breech stop to keep feeding and extraction consistent across a range of conditions. Barrel steel is 4140 CrMo, fluted and finished in Sniper Grey Cerakote to handle weather and reduce visible oxidation. A single three-round AICS-compatible magazine is included, and the detachable format means additional capacity is straightforward to source.
