The foundation is a Remington 700 footprint, which means the aftermarket for triggers, scope bases, and chassis systems applies here without adaptation. The barrel is Bergara’s own carbon-fiber unit. Carbon construction reduces weight without sacrificing the stiffness that matters for shot-to-shot consistency, and the tradeoff versus a heavier profile barrel is straightforward: the rifle comes to shoulder more easily over a long session, at the cost of some of the thermal mass that helps a steel barrel absorb heat during high-volume strings.
