Description
The Bergara Premier HMR Pro is built for shooters who want a precision platform that moves between the bench and the field without compromise — competitors running practical rifle stages, hunters who want a rifle capable of genuine long-range work, and handloaders who need a platform that rewards careful ammunition development. It is not a lightweight carry rifle; it is a purpose-built accuracy tool that trades some pounds for stability and consistency.
The stock is molded around an integrated mini-chassis rather than relying on pillars or a full-length aluminum chassis. That construction gives you the bedding repeatability of a chassis system with the contour and handling of a traditional stock, along with an adjustable cheek piece and length-of-pull spacers so the fit can be dialed to the shooter rather than accepted as-is. The barrel is free-floated throughout its length, so point of impact stays consistent regardless of sling tension or hand position.
The 416 stainless barrel is finished in Tactical Grey Cerakote, which protects the metal from moisture and handling wear without adding meaningful weight. A 1-in-10 inch twist rate in .308 Winchester stabilizes the full range of practical .308 projectiles — from 168-grain match bullets to the heavier 175- and 185-grain long-range options — without over-stabilizing lighter varmint loads. The muzzle is threaded 5/8″-24 tpi, the standard pitch for .30-caliber suppressors and muzzle brakes. The action uses a two-lug bolt with a separate floating bolt head designed to self-align against the lug abutments on lockup, and a cone-shaped bolt nose to guide cartridges from the AICS-pattern magazine into the chamber smoothly. Scope bases use the Remington 700 footprint, which means the widest selection of aftermarket rings and bases will fit without adaptation.
