Description
The B-14 Ridge in .300 PRC is a hunting bolt-action built for shooters who want a capable long-range cartridge in a rifle that doesn’t require a custom budget. It’s suited to big-game hunters who are pushing out to distance on elk, moose, or similar quarry where the .300 PRC’s high ballistic coefficient bullet performance genuinely matters over a .300 Win Mag at extended range.
The barrel is cut from 4140 CrMo steel with a No. 5 taper — a profile that balances weight against stiffness, keeping the rifle manageable in the field while maintaining enough rigidity to support consistent shot-to-shot harmonics. A 1-in-9″ twist rate stabilizes the longer, heavier .300 PRC projectiles that make the cartridge what it is; if you’re hand-loading or selecting factory ammunition, lean toward bullets in the 200–225 grain range to take full advantage of that stabilization. The barrel is finished in Graphite Black Cerakote for corrosion resistance through wet-weather hunts. Threading at 5/8″-24 tpi means the muzzle is ready for a brake or suppressor without additional machining.
The B-14 action is a two-lug design with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech, geometry that promotes smooth feeding from the internal hinged floor plate magazine even under field conditions. The action is drilled and tapped to accept Remington 700-pattern rings and bases, which keeps scope mounting straightforward and opens up a wide range of compatible hardware. Stocks are molded glass-fiber-reinforced polymer with integral epoxy pillars bedded during the molding process, giving the barreled action a stable seating surface that contributes to the sub-MOA accuracy guarantee Bergara applies to the entire B-14 line.
