The B-14 Sierra Wilderness is Bergara’s answer to a mountain hunting rifle: light enough to carry all day in rough country, built to hold up when conditions turn ugly, and accurate enough that you do not need to second-guess a shot at distance. It suits the hunter who covers serious ground and cannot afford a rifle that quits when it gets wet, cold, or dirty.

The stock and metal surfaces are finished in Sniper Gray Cerakote, which is Bergara’s own designation for this application — not a generic grey but a purpose-selected coating chosen for corrosion resistance in the field. That matters in a hunting rifle that will see moisture, brush, and temperature swings rather than a gun safe.

The 1-in-10″ twist rate is worth understanding before you load for this rifle. In .300 Winchester Magnum, a 1:10 stabilizes the mid-to-heavy bullets — roughly 180 to 220 grains — where the cartridge performs best at long range. If you are running lighter 150-grain loads, they will shoot, but the twist is optimized for heavier projectiles where the .300 Win Mag’s case capacity earns its keep.

The barrel is cut to 5/8″-24 threads at the muzzle, which is the standard pitch for .30-caliber suppressors and muzzle brakes. That means you can mount a device without an adapter, keeping the muzzle assembly as short and light as possible.

Capacity sits at three rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber. That is a deliberate constraint for a hunting rifle of this class — the geometry keeps the action length manageable and the stock profile clean, rather than accommodating a deeper box that adds bulk you do not need in the field.
