Description
The B-14 Wilderness Sierra is Bergara’s purpose-built hunting bolt gun for left-handed shooters who want a purpose-ground action rather than a mirrored afterthought. The left-hand configuration puts the bolt handle on the correct side without compromising the stock geometry, which matters when you are working a follow-up shot quickly from a field position.
The Sierra is designed around medium-range hunting and practical precision use — the kind of work where you need a rifle that travels well and shoots accurately rather than one optimized for a bench. The Wilderness series finish on both the metal and stock is built to handle exposure without demanding constant maintenance, which is a meaningful consideration on a rifle that goes into packs and leans against wet trees.
Chambered in .308 Winchester, the rifle uses a 1-in-10 inch twist rate, which stabilizes the full range of hunting projectiles that .308 shooters typically reach for — from lighter, faster deer bullets through the heavier 175- and 185-grain match and hunting loads. You are not forced into a narrow weight window to get acceptable accuracy. The 20-inch barrel gives up a modest amount of muzzle velocity compared to a 24-inch hunting configuration, but it makes the rifle meaningfully shorter and handier in dense country and from ground blinds, and the trade-off is small enough in .308 that it rarely matters at hunting distances. The barrel is also fitted with an Omni muzzle brake, which cuts felt recoil noticeably — relevant on a lightweight hunting rifle where stock weight is already kept down.
The B-14 action feeds from a detachable magazine at a 4+1 capacity, which gives you a full hunting load without requiring a flush-fit fixed box.
