The B-14 Wilderness Sierra is built for hunters who spend serious time in the field under difficult conditions — and who happen to be left-handed. The left-hand bolt and ejection port are native to the action, not a mirrored afterthought, which means the cycling geometry and trigger linkage are designed from the start for right-hand-on-the-stock operation by a left-handed shooter.

The receiver is stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance in wet or humid environments where a blued or parkerized surface would demand more maintenance. The barrel is fluted, which removes material between the lands to reduce overall weight and increase the surface area exposed to moving air — useful when firing multiple shots in a session, since heat buildup affects point of impact. A threaded muzzle with an Omni Muzzle Brake ships on the rifle from the factory; the brake redirects propellant gas at the muzzle to reduce rearward force and muzzle rise, which matters with a cartridge in the energy class of the 7mm PRC.

The 1-in-9-inch twist rate is well-suited to the heavier, high-BC projectiles the 7mm PRC was developed around. Faster twist stabilizes longer, heavier bullets; if you handload or plan to work with lighter projectiles, that twist rate is still fast enough to stabilize them, but the cartridge’s practical advantage is at the heavier end of the 7mm bullet weight range.

The SoftTouch stock wears a digital camouflage finish and is fixed — no adjustable length of pull or comb height. The overall package comes in just under eight pounds, which is manageable for a full-power hunting rifle chambered in a magnum-class cartridge.
