Description
The B-14 Stoke Compact is Bergara’s answer to a specific problem: getting a full-power hunting rifle into tight quarters without giving up the accuracy or trigger quality that makes a bolt gun worth carrying in the first place. It suits hunters who cover dense timber, hunters who need a rifle that fits a compact chassis, or anyone who wants a working bolt-action that won’t dominate the truck cab on the way in.
The .350 Legend cartridge is designed around straight-walled case requirements common in the Midwest and portions of the East, and it does that job at moderate pressure with manageable recoil. The 16.5-inch barrel gives up some velocity compared to a full-length tube, but .350 Legend’s performance envelope is well-suited to the ranges where this rifle is most likely to be used — inside of 200 yards on whitetail and similar game. The 1-in-16 twist rate is matched to the bullet weights most .350 Legend factory ammunition is built around, so you’re not hunting for special projectiles to stabilize correctly.
The B-14 action uses Bergara’s own bolt and receiver, machined in-house, and the trigger is adjustable — important on a compact hunting rifle where the shooter may be wearing gloves or shooting from an improvised rest. The included 6-round AICS-pattern magazine is a practical capacity for a hunting rifle, and the AICS footprint means aftermarket options are straightforward to source. The rifle ships without sights, so you’ll be mounting an optic from day one, which is consistent with how most hunters run a bolt gun at these ranges. The Stoke stock is designed to keep overall length down while maintaining a usable length of pull.
