Description
The Bergara B-14 Stoke Compact is built specifically for shooters who find a standard-length rifle awkward to run — smaller-framed adults, younger hunters, and anyone who simply shoots better with a shorter length of pull. At 12.25 inches, the length of pull is meaningfully shorter than a standard hunting stock, which moves the shooting hand closer to the trigger and lets the shooter get a natural cheek weld without straining forward. The negative comb angle works with that geometry to push muzzle rise down and redirect felt recoil, so the rifle sits more predictably through the shot and recovery.
The 20-inch barrel strikes a deliberate balance: short enough to stay handy in dense cover or a blind, long enough to let the 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge reach useful velocity without squandering too much at the muzzle. The 1-in-8-inch twist rate is fast enough to stabilize the heavier, higher-BC projectiles — 140-grain bullets and above — that make 6.5 Creedmoor worth running in the first place, so you are not locked into lighter loads to get consistent flight. The barrel is threaded 5/8″-24, the standard pitch for this bore diameter, which means most 6.5mm muzzle accessories seat directly without an adapter. The Graphite Black Cerakote finish on both barrel and receiver resists corrosion and abrasion without adding meaningful weight.
The stock is a fixed synthetic unit with a webbed Tan and Black SoftTouch finish that improves grip in wet or cold conditions. There are no iron sights fitted, which keeps the sight radius clean and leaves the receiver ready for whatever optic you intend to run. The four-round detachable magazine with one in the chamber gives a workable field capacity without bulking out the bottom of the action.
