The Bergara B-14 Stoke Compact is built around a single, rarely addressed problem: most bolt-action rifles are sized for an average adult male, and that fit actively hurts accuracy for anyone outside that profile. This rifle starts from the premise that proper fit is a prerequisite for consistent shooting, and redesigns the stock accordingly rather than simply trimming a standard pattern. The result is a 12.25-inch length of pull achieved through a shorter forend, a reshaped grip, and a negative comb angle — that comb geometry does double duty, both lowering the cheek weld to suit a compact frame and redirecting muzzle rise to reduce felt recoil at the shooter’s face.

The 6.5 PRC cartridge sits at the upper end of what a 20-inch barrel handles efficiently, trading some muzzle velocity compared to a longer tube while keeping the rifle genuinely compact and manageable in the field. The 1-in-10-inch twist rate is well matched to the heavier, high-BC projectiles that make 6.5 PRC worth using in the first place — bullets in the 140–156 grain range stabilize reliably without the over-spin that an unnecessarily fast twist introduces at this velocity range. The barrel is threaded at 5/8×24, so a suppressor or muzzle brake can be fitted without an adapter. Finished in Graphite Black Cerakote on both barrel and receiver, the metalwork resists corrosion and handling wear through seasonal or backcountry use. The receiver is drilled and tapped and accepts Remington 700-pattern rings and bases, which keeps optic selection straightforward. No iron sights are included, reflecting the assumption that anyone running 6.5 PRC is already planning to mount glass.
