Description
The BoreSnake Viper with Den is a one-pass bore cleaning tool built for shooters who want a fast, thorough clean without breaking down their pistol or unpacking a full rod-and-patch kit. It fits .44 and .45 caliber pistols.
Where the original BoreSnake uses a single set of bronze brushes, the Viper adds a third set, which increases the scrubbing surface working against carbon and powder fouling as the snake travels down the bore. That difference matters on a pistol chambered in a larger bore diameter, where fouling tends to build up more aggressively with each round fired. The bronze brushes loosen and lift the stubborn deposits, and the woven tail — with a surface area substantially larger than a conventional patch — sweeps the barrel clean in the same single pull.
A cone-shaped bore guide sits at the leading end to center the snake on entry and protect the crown, which is the part of the muzzle most likely to affect accuracy if it takes damage during cleaning. The brass weight at the front has the caliber stamped directly on it, which makes identifying the right snake quick when you have several in a bag.
The Den adds practical value beyond storage. The lid of the case doubles as a T-handle, giving you a firm grip to pull the snake through a pistol barrel, where the shorter distance means more resistance relative to the pull. The case itself is reusable and sized to fit in a range bag or pack.
