Description

The Otis B.O.N.E. Tool is a dedicated bolt carrier group cleaning scraper built for 7.62mm MSR and AR-platform rifles, including AR-10 and LR308 configurations. Where a standard patch or brush slides over carbon deposits without breaking them loose, a rigid scraper works the surface directly, which makes it the more practical choice for the bolt tail, bolt carrier interior, and firing pin channel — areas that accumulate hard, baked-on fouling after sustained use.

The tool is shaped to reach the geometry of the bolt carrier assembly without requiring disassembly beyond what a standard field strip provides. An 8-32 threaded hole allows a cleaning rod or improvised handle to be threaded in, converting the scraper into a T-handle for added torque and control when working inside the receiver. That threading also makes it compatible with standard Otis rod components if you are already running their system.

Otis built this for the 7.62mm/.308 bore family specifically, so the scraper geometry fits the larger bolt carrier dimensions of that platform rather than being a scaled approximation from a 5.56 version.
