The Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover Heavy is built for shooters who run suppressors hard — sustained strings, full-auto fire, or any situation where a hot can is going to make contact with legs, kit, or a shooting bag. The cover sits 0.5 inches longer than the suppressor itself, which lets both ends cinch down and lock the sleeve in place without any hardware or adhesive. That fit is reliable enough that the cover stays indexed even during transitions and movement, rather than walking forward under heat expansion.

The construction is a two-part system. The outer shell is made from DuPont Kevlar, which carries a maximum operating temperature of 1,000°F — roughly equivalent to 180 rounds of M855 fired continuously. Underneath that is an inner liner of fiberglass mesh sleeving rated to 2,000°F, giving the assembly a second layer of thermal resistance where the suppressor surface makes direct contact. When either layer degrades from extended use, the inner sleeving can be replaced independently, so the outer cover does not have to be discarded.

Beyond burn prevention, the cover suppresses heat mirage, which matters on precision applications where rising heat distortion off a bare suppressor can obscure a target at distance.
