Description

Suppressors run hot enough to burn through gear, scorch legs during transitions, and throw up heat mirage that ruins a precision shot. The Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover Heavy is built to address all three problems on suppressors measuring 1.5 inches in diameter, making it a practical choice for shooters who run suppressed rifles in dynamic environments or on a precision platform where mirage control matters.

The cover uses a two-part construction: an outer shell made from DuPont Kevlar, rated to withstand continuous heat up to 1,000°F, and a replaceable inner liner of fiberglass mesh sleeving that handles up to 2,000°F. Separating the system into two components means the liner — the part that takes the most abuse — can be replaced independently, extending the useful life of the outer cover rather than requiring full replacement. The Kevlar outer is the primary barrier against contact burns and gear damage; the fiberglass inner works as the thermal buffer between the suppressor body and the Kevlar shell.

Burn Proof Gear designs the cover to run 0.5 inches longer than the suppressor itself, which lets the ends cinch around the front and rear of the can. That geometry creates what the company calls a no-slip fit without requiring any adhesives or mechanical fasteners. Once installed on a 1.5-inch suppressor, the combined diameter stays at or under 1.75 inches, which keeps the package manageable inside most handguards and against the body. The cover is also compatible with suppressors across a range of common rifle calibers, so it follows the suppressor rather than being tied to a single host platform. In night operations, it suppresses the IR signature the suppressor would otherwise emit.
