Description
The Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover Heavy is built for shooters who run their suppressors hard — high round counts, rapid strings, full-auto strings — and need reliable protection from the heat that builds up on and around the can. It addresses two real problems at once: contact burns to legs, hands, and gear when transitioning or handling a hot suppressor, and heat mirage that distorts sight picture during precision work at distance.
The cover uses a two-component construction to handle those demands. The outer shell is made from aerospace and military grade fire-retardant materials using DuPont Kevlar, which is rated to withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 1,000°F — roughly the heat produced by sustained fire with M855. Inside sits a replaceable fiberglass mesh sleeving rated to 2,000°F, providing a thermal buffer between the suppressor body and the outer cover. Because the inner sleeving is a separate, replaceable component, you can refresh the most heat-exposed part of the system without replacing the entire cover.
The fit is designed so the cover runs approximately half an inch longer than the suppressor itself. That extra length lets the cover cinch at both the front and rear of the can, preventing it from sliding during use. On a 1.5-inch diameter suppressor, the installed cover brings the overall outer diameter to no more than 1.75 inches, which keeps clearance predictable across most handguard configurations. The cover is compatible with common rifle calibers including .223, 5.56 NATO, .308, 300 BLK, and 7.62 NATO. This variant is finished in Flat Dark Earth. Made in the USA and backed by a lifetime guarantee.
