Description
The B&T 3X NAR Handguard is a drop-in replacement for the MP5, SP5, and their clones, designed for operators who need to mount accessories without modifying the host firearm. The factory MP5 forend offers no rail space, which forces a choice between bare iron sights and a clean grip or a functional light and laser setup. This handguard resolves that by replacing the stock forend with a machined aluminum housing that carries three NAR-pattern Picatinny rails — one on each side and one on the underside — giving independent mounting positions for a weapon light, a laser aiming device, and a vertical grip simultaneously without stacking adapters or compromising any single position.
Because it is a true drop-in design, installation does not require permanent modification to the receiver or barrel. The aluminum construction keeps the weight penalty modest relative to the accessory capacity it adds, which matters on a platform already optimized for close-quarters use where muzzle-heavy handling degrades speed. The three-sided rail layout distributes accessories around the bore axis rather than concentrating them below it, which helps balance the weight of a light-and-laser combination without pulling the muzzle down during transitions. B&T manufactures this handguard specifically for the MP5 family, so the fit against the receiver and barrel trunnion is consistent with the original geometry rather than requiring shimming or fitment work common with universal designs.
