Description

The Bushnell A3 is a compact 8×32 binocular built for hunters and outdoor users who want a capable glass that won’t weigh down a pack or a neck strap over long days in the field. The 32mm objective diameter keeps the package small and light while still gathering enough light for reasonable performance in the low-contrast conditions of early morning and late evening—the windows when game movement peaks. At 8x magnification, the image stays stable enough to use handheld without a rest, which matters when you’re glassing from an unsteady position on a hillside or out of a stand.

Bushnell builds the A3 around BAK4 roof prisms, which produce a centered, circular exit pupil that contributes to edge-to-edge image clarity across the full field of view. The optical path uses fully multicoated lenses, meaning every air-to-glass surface carries a coating pass rather than just the outer elements—this reduces internal light scatter and improves contrast in hazy or backlit conditions. The EXO Barrier lens treatment goes a step further by bonding a protective layer directly to the outer glass, making it harder for water, oil, and debris to adhere to the surface.
