The Match Pro ED is built around a specific problem that binoculars used for long-range precision shooting run into: a fixed reticle goes out of level every time you adjust interpupillary distance, because changing the barrel angle at the hinge rotates the entire optical assembly. Bushnell’s solution is the Shot-Call MRAD reticle, which rotates independently so you can dial it plumb regardless of where your IPD sits. That matters when you are calling impacts at distance and need a reliable vertical and horizontal reference that isn’t drifting with your eye spacing.

The BridgeSet IPD Stabilizer addresses the companion problem. Once you have the barrels set to your eyes, the BridgeSet locks that position, functioning as a mechanical stop so the setting doesn’t creep during transport or get disturbed by someone else handling the optic. It mounts to either the front or rear bridge, which also applies to a tripod adapter — useful when these go on a tall bipod or tripod for a match.

Optically, the foundation is Abbe-Koenig prisms rather than the Schmidt-Pechan design common in compact roof-prism binoculars. Abbe-Koenig geometry delivers higher light transmission through the prism without requiring dielectric coatings on the reflection surfaces, because total internal reflection does the work. Bushnell then adds ED Prime glass to reduce chromatic aberration — the color fringing that high-magnification optics make visible, particularly around high-contrast edges at distance.
