Description
The C&H Precision FN509-RSH is a machined optics adapter plate built for shooters running an FN 509, FN 510, or FN 545 V4 MIL/LEO slide who want to mount a miniature red dot without committing the slide to a single optic footprint permanently. Rather than milling the slide directly, the plate sits between the slide and the optic, allowing the shooter to swap between different red dot families as needs or budgets change over time without additional gunsmith work on the slide itself.
The plate accepts Trijicon RMR, SRO, and RCR footprints, as well as Holosun 407C, 507C, 507Comp, and 508T, along with C&H’s own EDC-XL and COMP optics. That breadth of compatibility matters when the optic market shifts and a preferred red dot is discontinued or superseded — the same plate stays in service rather than requiring a new slide cut. Mounting hardware is included, and C&H uses patented screws specific to this plate and optic combination; the provided screws must be used, and their length may need minor fitting to suit your particular slide and optic stack.
C&H recommends dry-fitting all components before final installation, since real-world tolerances across different slide generations and optic batches can vary enough to affect seating. Iron sight compatibility after installation depends on the height of the optic chosen and the existing slide cut depth, so co-witness planning should happen before committing to a specific sight set. This plate is a practical solution for anyone who wants red dot capability on a factory FN slide without permanent modification.
