Description

The S&W M&P Shield Plus ships from the factory with a slide cut sized for Smith & Wesson’s own optic footprint. If you want to run a Holosun 407K or 507K on that pistol, you need a plate that bridges the two footprints — and that is exactly what this C&H Precision adapter does. The plate mounts into the Shield Plus optic-ready cut and presents the correct Holosun K-series mounting pattern on top, letting you run a compact, low-profile red dot without having the slide milled.

C&H Precision machines these plates from 6061 aluminum on CNC equipment at their facility in coastal Georgia, and each plate goes through individual quality checks before it ships. The finish is MIL-SPEC Type III hard anodize, which is a harder, more wear-resistant surface than standard anodizing and holds up to the repetitive contact between an optic base and slide. Mounting hardware is stainless steel, and the package includes two 6-32 x 1/2-inch plate mounting screws along with thread locker, so you have everything needed for a complete installation.

Plate thickness runs .095 to .099 inches, which is relevant to your sight picture: a thinner plate keeps the optic closer to the slide and affects how your iron sights co-witness with the red dot. If you intend to use your factory irons as a backup through or alongside the optic, it is worth confirming your preferred co-witness relationship before installation. The 407K and 507K share the same footprint, so this single plate covers both optics.
