Description
The Cloud Defensive Enhanced Pistol Light is built for duty-sized pistols where the light will see real use — law enforcement carry, home defense, or any situation where a pistol might be drawn in the dark. It is not a range accessory; the design priorities are holster compatibility, reliable activation under stress, and output that actually illuminates threats rather than just confirming their presence.
The 1,200-lumen output produces a beam profile tuned for the distances where a pistol is actually employed — wide enough for situational awareness, with 52,000 candela of peak intensity to push usable light into the middle distance rather than washing out at arm’s length. That combination reflects a deliberate trade-off: more candela in a pistol light means a tighter, harder hotspot, and Cloud Defensive has balanced the two for a beam that works in hallways and across parking lots alike.
Power comes from a single 18350 lithium cell charged directly over USB-C, which keeps the body compact enough to clear duty holsters that would reject a light running a larger cell. Runtime is approximately 40 minutes at full output — short on paper, but the relevant question for a duty or defensive light is whether it lasts through an incident, not through a night of casual use.
The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hardcoat anodized finish and carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating. Ambidextrous toggle switches handle activation, and the box includes interchangeable recoil lugs for Picatinny, Glock, and SIG rail patterns, so fitment is handled at the time of mounting rather than at the point of purchase.
