Description

The SureFire X300U-A is built for duty and defensive use on handguns, though its Universal and Picatinny rail compatibility means it transitions to long guns without issue. It is the weapon light that law enforcement and military units reach for when the requirement is a compact, rail-mounted light that survives hard use without reservation.

The output is delivered through a recoil-proof LED, a meaningful design choice on a handgun platform where every shot transmits significant mechanical shock directly into the light’s housing. That LED is focused by a Total Internal Reflection lens, which produces a defined center beam with enough surrounding spill to maintain situational awareness at close range — a practical balance for indoor and transitional environments where both target identification and peripheral vision matter.

Activation is handled through ambidextrous push-toggle switches on either side of the body. Pressing and holding gives momentary-on; a quick press and release latches it to constant-on. This means the shooter never has to break a firing grip to operate the light, and either hand can do it equally well. The body is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished in Mil-Spec hard anodizing — in this case the Tan variant — which resists corrosion and surface wear through the kind of daily holstering and handling that strips lesser finishes. The unit is IPX7 rated, meaning submersion to one meter for thirty minutes will not compromise function. Two included CR123A lithium batteries power it, and optional DG grip switches or XT tape switches allow remote activation when the application calls for it.
