Description

The MCH Duty is built around a straightforward premise: a handheld light that holds up under genuine hard use and delivers enough output to be tactically useful, not just impressive on paper. It suits law enforcement, armed professionals, and serious civilian users who want a single light that works as a primary tool rather than a backup novelty.

The light head is encased in S7 tool steel — the same alloy used in industrial impact tooling — heat-treated to 51–55 Rockwell hardness and finished in Black Nitride. That combination resists both impact deformation and surface corrosion in a way that anodized aluminum alone cannot. The body itself is 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat anodized finish, keeping overall weight manageable while the steel bezel absorbs punishment at the vulnerable end. IPX8 waterproofing means submersion to 100 feet for 24 hours, so the light doesn’t need to be babied in the field.

The Dual-Fuel design accepts a single 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable cell — included — or two CR123A batteries as a fallback. Running CR123A cells produces noticeably lower output and shorter runtime compared to the 18650, but the option matters in situations where a recharge isn’t possible. At full output on the 18650, runtime is 60 minutes; dropping to medium extends that to roughly 120 minutes, which shifts the light into a practical administrative role for extended use.

Five user-programmable modes give the operator direct control over output and behavior, set via the tailcap switch. The AR-coated lens and SST40 emitter are calibrated for a large central hotspot with enough peripheral spill for situational awareness at close range. A deep-carry steel pocket clip and included neutral-density protectors round out a package designed to be used hard and carried constantly. Note that this model is not compatible with the Kydex MCH holster.
