Description

The Cloud Defensive MCH Duty is a purpose-built handheld light aimed at law enforcement, armed professionals, and serious civilian carriers who need a tool they can stake something real on. It is not a budget carry light dressed up with tactical language — the construction decisions reflect genuine hard-use priorities.

The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodize, and the bezel is shrouded in S7 tool steel that has been Black Nitride plated and heat-treated to 51–55 Rockwell. That combination matters because the bezel is the first point of contact in a drop or impact, and S7 is a shock-resistant tool steel rather than a cosmetic choice. The 3mm lens is thick enough to survive field abuse and designed to be replaced without sending the light out for service.

Output reaches 1,800 lumens with 50,000 candela on the high setting. The high candela figure reflects a deliberately shaped beam — a concentrated hotspot for distance identification paired with enough spill to maintain situational awareness at close range, rather than a flood pattern that washes out at distance. Five programmable output modes let the user configure the light for the specific tasks they actually run rather than cycling through fixed presets.

Dual-fuel capability means the MCH Duty accepts either an 18650 lithium-ion cell or CR123A primaries — useful when rechargeable infrastructure is not available or when a backup power option matters. The tailcap includes an Adjustable Negligent Discharge Protection system with swappable ND rings, letting the user set the tailcap profile for deep-pocket carry, belt carry, or plate carrier attachment without replacing any major components. An IPX8 waterproof rating covers full submersion to 100 feet for 24 hours. The kit ships with a UI2 charger, an 18650 battery, three ND protectors, and a heat-treated steel deep-carry pocket clip.
