The CMMG Banshee MkG in .45 ACP is built for shooters who want a compact AR-platform pistol that feeds from Glock-pattern magazines—a practical choice if you’re already running a Glock .45 in your kit, since you’re drawing from a single magazine pool rather than stocking two separate systems. The platform is built around CMMG’s Radial Delayed Blowback operating system, which routes the bolt’s unlocking force through angled radial cuts rather than a gas piston or direct impingement. The practical effect is a softer, more controlled impulse than a straight blowback design would produce with a cartridge this large, without the added complexity of a traditional gas system. That matters when you’re running a 5-inch barrel, where a straight blowback would require a heavy bolt and buffer to manage .45 ACP chamber pressure, producing a sharper, more abrupt recoil stroke. The radial delay keeps the action locked slightly longer during peak pressure, smoothing out the timing of the unlocking event.

The pistol ships with a ZERØ drop-in single-stage trigger and an ambidextrous charging handle and safety, so both right- and left-handed shooters can run the controls identically. The barrel is threaded, making it compatible with standard muzzle devices.
