Description

The CMMG Gunbuilder’s Lower Parts Kit is designed for builders who already know which grip and fire control group they want. Rather than bundling parts you’ll likely pull out and replace, this kit supplies the small parts that rarely get swapped — the components that most builders are happy to run mil-spec and never think about again. That makes it a practical starting point whether you’re fitting a competition trigger, a drop-in cassette, or a specialty grip that wouldn’t pair with a standard A2 hardware set.

The kit covers the bolt catch, bolt catch plunger and spring, bolt catch roll pin, pivot and takedown pins with their detents and springs, safety selector with detent and spring, and the magazine catch assembly — button, spring, and catch. Trigger and hammer retaining pins are also included. Everything that ships with the kit meets or exceeds mil-spec dimensional standards, so the parts will seat correctly in any standard AR-15 lower receiver without fitting work.

What’s intentionally absent is worth understanding before you order. There is no trigger guard, no fire control group — meaning no trigger, hammer, disconnector, or their associated springs — and no pistol grip or grip hardware. Plan your parts list accordingly, because you’ll need all of those to complete the lower. For builders sourcing a quality aftermarket trigger anyway, paying for fire control parts you won’t use adds nothing. This kit sidesteps that entirely and keeps the build process cleaner from the start.
