Description

Suppressors run hot, and that heat rising off the tube creates thermal mirage — a visual distortion that washes out your target and makes precise shot placement genuinely difficult at distance. The Cole-TAC HTP Cover exists specifically to address that problem. By wrapping the suppressor, it traps and redirects heat away from the sight plane rather than letting it radiate upward through your field of view, keeping the image clean when it matters most.

The cover is built in three distinct layers, each doing a different job. The innermost layer is flash-rated to 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit, handling the direct thermal load coming off the suppressor body. A middle insulating layer rated to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit slows heat transfer outward. The exterior is 1,000 denier Cordura nylon — a material chosen for abrasion resistance and weather toughness rather than thermal performance, since the inner layers handle that. Fire-resistant thread is used throughout rather than standard stitching, which would degrade under sustained heat. BOA straps secure the cover to the suppressor without requiring permanent attachment.

Beyond mirage reduction, the cover puts a thermal barrier between a hot suppressor and anything it might contact — a useful secondary function during a stage transition or any time a slung rifle ends up against gear or a vehicle interior. At six ounces it adds negligible weight. The MultiCam pattern is Cole-TAC’s own colorway designation, not a generic camo label. This particular cover is sized for a 7.5-inch suppressor and fits suppressors up to two and a half inches in diameter.
