Description

The Daniel Defense Rail Mount QD Swivel Attachment Point solves a straightforward problem: adding a quick-detach sling anchor point to any section of a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail where the handguard or receiver lacks a dedicated socket. Because it rides on the rail rather than threading into a fixed position, the operator can dial in sling placement precisely — pushing it forward for a hasty sling setup or pulling it rearward to balance carry weight differently — without committing to a permanent location.

What separates this mount from a simple socket is its built-in rotation limit. The swivel is intentionally constrained in how far it can spin, which keeps the sling from wrapping around the rail or indexing into an awkward position under movement. That detail matters most in dynamic situations where the rifle is being transitioned, slung, and shouldered repeatedly and a tangled sling costs time and attention.

Attachment uses Daniel Defense’s patented Rock and Lock one-piece system, which seats on the rail in a single motion rather than requiring separate hardware or multiple-step installation. The single-piece construction also removes the mechanical slack that a multi-part mount can develop over time. The body is precision CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a Military Specification Type III Hard Coat anodize, which is the same hard-surface treatment used on mil-spec upper and lower receivers — dense, abrasion-resistant, and bonded to the base material rather than sitting on top of it. The included Heavy Duty Push Button QD swivel accepts sling straps up to 1.25 inches wide, covering the common single- and two-point sling widths in current use. Manufactured in the United States.
