Description

The Dos Boot is a baseplate replacement for Magpul PMAG GEN M3 AR-15/M4 magazines — specifically the 10, 20, 30, and 40-round variants — aimed at shooters who want a modest capacity gain without the bulk of a full extension kit. Each unit adds two rounds by replacing the factory baseplate with a purpose-designed polymer boot, and the swap requires no tools. That matters when you are setting up several magazines before a range session or swapping kit in the field.

The shape is deliberately convex rather than flat. On a standard baseplate, the bottom of a loaded magazine offers little to work with during a reload; the Dos Boot’s contoured profile gives your hand a better purchase and lets the magazine seat and release more cleanly. The aggressive tread on the underside serves a second function: when shooting prone, the boot contacts the ground and keeps the muzzle elevated, functioning as a low monopod. This is particularly useful with 20-round magazines, where the standard baseplate sits close to the shooting surface.
