Description

The CMMG DISSENT Mk47 is built for the shooter who wants the ergonomics and modularity of the AR platform without giving up the 7.62x39mm cartridge or AK magazine compatibility. It runs on CMMG’s Compact Action, a bufferless direct-impingement system that relocates the operating mechanism forward, freeing the rear of the receiver for a true side-folding stock rather than a collapsible tube. That folding capability is mechanically significant: the rifle can cycle and fire with the stock folded, so you are not choosing between a compact carry configuration and a functional one.

The adjustable gas block gives you meaningful control over how the rifle behaves under different conditions. Dialing back the gas when running a suppressor reduces bolt velocity and felt impulse; opening it up accommodates the pressure variation between steel-cased and brass-cased 7.62x39mm loads without swapping components. The mid-length gas port location spreads the dwell time relative to a carbine-length port, which softens the recoil impulse without the slower lock time of a rifle-length system. The 1:10 twist rate stabilizes the full range of common 7.62x39mm projectile weights and is particularly well-matched to standard 123-grain bullets.

The non-reciprocating forward charging handle sits on the left side of the handguard and does not move during firing, so your support hand can stay on the grip without interruption. The 15-inch M-LOK handguard leaves the barrel free-floated, which preserves point-of-impact consistency when pressure is applied from a rest or sling. Upper and lower receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. The CMMG Zeroed muzzle brake is threaded 5/8×24 and can be exchanged for other compatible devices. Two Magpul 30-round PMAGs are included, and the rifle ships without an optic, leaving the full-length Picatinny top rail open for whatever you intend to mount.
