A fast-burning propellant leaves significantly less fouling in the barrel and action compared to older Speed-Shok formulations, which means the gun stays cleaner through a long morning shoot and cycling stays smooth as round counts climb. The high-performance primer supports complete, consistent ignition — a detail that matters most in cold, wet conditions where marginal setups lose reliability.

The 3-1/2-inch hull takes full advantage of a 10-gauge chamber, pushing 1-1/2 ounces of BB-size steel shot at 1,450 feet per second. BB shot sits at the larger end of the steel shot spectrum, giving each pellet enough retained energy at distance to cleanly take geese and big ducks without requiring a follow-up shot. The velocity keeps patterns tight enough at typical pass-shooting distances while still giving the shot column time to open at closer ranges.
