FrogLube’s Degreaser and Lube System Kit addresses one of the most practical problems in firearms maintenance: petroleum-based products accumulate in metal pores over time, trapping carbon and fouling rather than shedding it. This kit is built around a two-step approach that breaks that cycle from the start.

The Super Degreaser is formulated specifically to strip out petroleum-based chemicals, solvents, old lubricants, and carbon buildup before any lubricant goes on. It can be diluted with water to adjust cleaning strength depending on how heavily fouled a firearm is, and it is compatible with ultrasonic cleaners for parts that benefit from that method. That flexibility makes it useful across a range of cleaning tasks rather than locking you into a single application ratio.

Once the metal is clean and free of petroleum residue, the Extreme Lube CLP goes to work differently than a conventional oil. Rather than sitting on the surface, it works into the metal’s pores and seasons them, building up a dry, wax-like film over time. That film reduces friction at the contact points that matter most, resists fouling accumulation, and works against rust without leaving behind the wet, oil-attracting surface that catches debris in the field. The CLP is also safe to apply around plastics, nylon, urethane, and wood, so you can run it through an entire firearm without masking components.

The formulation is bio-based, non-toxic, non-flammable, and biodegradable, which makes disposal straightforward and range use more comfortable. Both products carry a mild mint scent. Each kit includes one one-ounce bottle of Super Degreaser and one one-ounce bottle of Extreme Lube CLP, packaged together in a clamshell.
