Description

The GBRS Group Lerna Mount is built for shooters who run gear that gets in the way — comms headsets, CBRN masks, night vision — and need their optic positioned where those obstacles stop mattering. The design centers on a 2.91-inch optic centerline height, which is meaningfully taller than conventional co-witness or lower-third configurations. That extra elevation lets the shooter maintain a more upright, heads-up stance rather than forcing a pronounced forward crouch to acquire the sight picture. For a rifleman wearing body armor, that posture also means the plate faces the threat squarely, which is a real consideration in how this mount was conceived.

This variant is configured specifically for the EOTech XPS series of holographic weapon sights, so the footprint, locking geometry, and interface are fitted to that optic rather than adapted from a universal platform. The finish is Flat Dark Earth — GBRS Group’s own FDE — which coordinates with similarly finished receivers, suppressors, and rail accessories without requiring touch-up or color matching. Construction is purpose-built for duty and operational use, not range sessions alone. The elevated sight line does require an adjustment period, particularly for shooters accustomed to a traditional cheek weld, but the trade-off is a more sustainable shooting posture under load over extended periods.
