The Geissele Single-Stage Precision (SSP) with a Dynamic Flat Bow is built for shooters who need a trigger that performs consistently at distance — whether that’s precision target work, hunting, or duty use where a reliable, repeatable pull matters more than a light touch alone. It is a drop-in unit designed for mil-spec AR-15 and AR-10 platforms.

Unlike a two-stage trigger, where the shooter works through a defined take-up before reaching the wall, the SSP has no pre-travel. The break comes without staging, which means the shooter’s focus stays on the target rather than on managing trigger movement. The trade-off is that single-stage designs demand a disciplined trigger finger, since there is no buffer stage to signal proximity to the break — a consideration worth weighing if you are transitioning from a two-stage setup.

The flat bow geometry changes the mechanical leverage across the pull compared to a curved bow. A flat shoe keeps the contact point on the shooter’s finger at a more consistent position through the entire stroke, which can improve shot-to-shot consistency for shooters who prefer that feel. Reset is short but remains tactile enough to confirm with a finger without breaking cheek weld.

The trigger components are machined from S7 tool steel using wire EDM technology, and the assembly carries a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance. Pull weight is set at 3.5 pounds and is non-adjustable, which is a deliberate choice: a fixed geometry reduces variables for repeatable performance across different environmental conditions and round counts.
