Description

The Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) is a two-stage trigger built for shooters who need a predictable, forgiving pull across a wide range of conditions—from deliberate precision work at distance to the rapid, instinctive shooting that close-quarters situations demand. It fits standard AR-15 and AR-10 lower receivers using mil-spec pin dimensions, making it a straightforward drop-in replacement for the factory trigger group.

The two-stage design is the core of what makes the SSA useful. The first stage takes up roughly 2.5 pounds of travel, giving the shooter a clear physical reference point before the trigger commits. The second stage breaks at around 2.0 pounds, bringing the combined pull to approximately 4.5 pounds total. That split lets a shooter pre-load the trigger during target acquisition without risking an unintended discharge, while still allowing a clean, deliberate break when ready. The pull is non-adjustable, which is a deliberate choice for a trigger intended for duty and field use—there are no set screws to drift or locknuts to back out under sustained use.

The trigger bow uses an M4 curved profile, which suits a wide range of hand sizes and shooting gloves without requiring any adaptation. Geissele had the SSA safety-certified by the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center, a standard relevant to law enforcement and military procurement. It is worth noting that the SSA is not compatible with HK416 rifles equipped with a firing pin safety.
