Description

The Ghost Inc. Mother of All Baseplates (MOAB) is a magazine extension designed for shooters who run Magpul PMAG 17 9mm magazines and want more rounds on tap without switching to a larger-format pistol. It adds six rounds to the PMAG 17’s standard capacity, which meaningfully changes the math in a competition stage or a defensive context where a spare magazine may not be immediately accessible.

The extension is built from injection-molded polymer, which keeps weight minimal and eliminates any concern about corrosion from sweat, rain, or solvent exposure. The rounded ergonomic profile gives the support hand a more positive purchase on the grip during reloads, and dedicated traction points help guide the magazine home under stress. Debris extraction ports in the body help prevent material from packing into the extension and interfering with spring travel — a practical consideration for range use in dusty or gritty environments.

The kit includes an extra-power magazine spring sized for the extended column. Running a longer stack of ammunition on a standard spring can cause feed failures as spring tension drops toward the last few rounds; the included replacement spring is wound to maintain consistent pressure across the full extended capacity. A disassembly tool is also provided, making it straightforward to strip the extension for cleaning without improvising with whatever is at hand. Installation requires no permanent modification to the PMAG 17 itself. Compatibility is specific: this extension is designed for the PMAG 17 and will not interchange with other Magpul PMAG formats.
