Description

The Grand Power Q1 Mk23 is built for shooters who want a compact, carry-ready pistol without giving up the engineering that makes Grand Power’s full-size lineup worth carrying in the first place. It draws directly from the Q100 platform, shrinking the grip envelope while keeping the same rotating barrel locking mechanism that defines the series.

That rotating barrel is the mechanical core of the design. Where most pistols use a tilting-barrel Browning-pattern lockup, the Q1’s barrel rotates slightly as it cycles. The rotation absorbs a portion of the rearward impulse before it reaches the slide, which tends to keep the muzzle flatter through the shot and makes the recoil stroke feel more linear than sharp. The practical result is that follow-up shots require less correction to realign the sights.

The trigger safety functions passively — it must be depressed as part of a natural firing grip before the striker can release. There is no external thumb safety to index, which keeps the draw-to-fire sequence consistent. All controls are fully ambidextrous, so the pistol works equally well for left- and right-handed shooters without modification.

The slide is optics-ready from the factory and ships with four mounting plates covering Vortex Venom/Docter Noblex/MeoRed 30, Trijicon RMR, CMORE STS2, and Shield SMS footprints, so most common red dots mount directly without additional machining. Three-dot iron sights are installed standard and remain usable if no optic is fitted. The package includes three magazines, a trigger lock, bore brush, and owner’s manual.
