Description
The Colt M4P6933 is built for shooters who need a compact, fast-handling AR-pattern pistol without giving up the quality control that Colt’s military and law enforcement contracts demand. It suits home defense, vehicle carry, and range training where a full-length rifle is impractical but component integrity still matters.
The receiver set is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in Type III hard coat anodize — a process that produces a harder, more abrasion-resistant surface than standard Type II anodizing, which matters when a firearm is handled frequently or stored in rough conditions. The bolt carrier group is chrome-lined and HP/MPI tested, meaning each bolt has been proof-fired at elevated pressure and inspected by magnetic particle for cracks before leaving the factory. That step is meaningful on a platform you’re relying on rather than collecting.
The direct gas impingement system keeps the reciprocating mass low, which contributes to a lighter felt impulse compared to a piston-driven equivalent at the same barrel length. The 1:7 right-hand twist barrel stabilizes heavier projectiles reliably — it handles the full range of common 5.56 loads, including 77-grain OTM ammunition that a slower 1:9 twist would not stabilize consistently.
A Colt free-float handguard eliminates barrel contact that would otherwise shift point of impact as the handguard flexes under a support-hand grip or sling tension. The Magpul M-LOK slots along its length let you mount lights, foregrips, and other accessories without full-length rail sections adding unnecessary weight. The SB Tactical SBA5 brace offers multiple length adjustments at the rear, so the platform fits a range of arm lengths and shooting positions without tools. A Magpul K2 grip and an ambidextrous selector complete a controls package that works equally well from either shoulder. A 30-round Magpul PMAG is included.
