Description

The H&K VP9 Tactical Threaded Barrel is a factory replacement part aimed at VP9 owners who want to run a suppressor or muzzle device without compromising the fit and reliability of a stock pistol. Because it comes directly from Heckler & Koch and is manufactured in Germany, the chamber dimensions, feed ramp geometry, and lockup tolerances are held to the same standard as the barrel that shipped with the pistol — something worth considering when a drop-in fit matters as much as the threading itself.

The muzzle is cut with an M13.5×1 left-hand thread, which is H&K’s standard pattern for the VP9 platform. Left-hand threading means the barrel’s rotation during firing tends to self-tighten rather than loosen a suppressor or adapter, reducing the chance of a muzzle device walking off under sustained fire. Installation requires no gunsmithing; the barrel drops straight into any VP9 chambered in 9mm in place of the factory unit.

The rifling runs a 1-in-9.8-inch right-hand twist. That rate is well-suited to the range of common 9mm projectile weights, from 115-grain through 147-grain, without favouring the extremes. Shooters running heavy subsonic loads for suppressed use will find the twist stabilises them reliably. No thread protector is included, so if the barrel will be stored or transported without a muzzle device attached, one should be sourced separately — H&K offers a compatible protector as a standalone accessory.
