The ELD Match bullet earns its place here through geometry. Hornady’s Heat Shield polymer tip resists aerodynamic deformation during flight—a failure mode that degrades ballistic coefficient at long range—allowing the bullet to maintain its rated G1 BC of .648 throughout the trajectory. That figure matters when you are trying to read wind or verify a firing solution past 100 yards, because a bullet that sheds BC mid-flight will land somewhere other than your model predicts.
